Since this is the time of year when the weather gets colder, and it creates changes that we need to make, to get used to handling it, there are some simple steps that we can take to stay healthy and not get sick. One of the most important things we can do is to wash our hands frequently with warm water and soap, to cleanse them of any germs that could be potential trouble for our body. When we open doors, we should try to use the back of our hand, or use a napkin, etc. When we pump our gas, we can get one of the towels that are used to clean windshields, and put it on the pump handle so we won’t have to touch it. When we go to the grocery store,we can be sure and use the hand wipes to at least wipe off the cart where we will be touching it, and also wipe off our hands. The reason this will help is because so many different people touch these same things, and we don’t know what people have on their hands. When we touch these common areas that the public touches, the germs that are alive will get on our hands . That’s OK if we wash them frequently. What the mistake is that most people make, is they start touching their face, eyes, nose, or mouth with their fingers, and that’s where germs gain an entrance into our bodies, and once they get in, they start multiplying.
